Welcome to Arizona's Painted Desert. This beautiful piece of the American Southwest, just off Route 66, features excellent panoramic views and an abundance of privacy. To say this area is quiet is an understatement. Aside from the occasional light breeze, it's absolute and utter silence. If you like to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine in quiet privacy, this area can't be beat. Use the property for occasional camping or make long-term plans to build an off-grid home. This parcel is a great low-cost option to get started! With few restrictions and no timeline to build, you have the freedom to use the land on your terms.

This is a nice, square, level 2.5-acre parcel about 15 minutes off the highway. It's far enough to ensure privacy and peace, but not so far that you can't regularly get to the highway. There's a dirt road that travels to the edge of the property making access fairly easy. Across the road to the east is more than 5000 acres owned by a cattle company, so you're not likely to have any neighbors in that direction. The 2.5-acre lots in this area are very popular and this is one of the better ones. Please note that the previous owner stated that they put a shed on the property. We have not verified this and do not know what condition the shed is in, but a quick review of the satellite images on Google Maps shows there is a structure on the property.

Downtown Holbrook AZ, just 20 minutes away, is a town of about 5000 people, rich with history. The Holbrook area was inhabited first by the Anasazi, then Puebloans, then the Navajo and Apache. In 1540, Coronado searched for the Seven Cities of Cibola and camped some sixty miles east of Holbrook. Coronado sent an expedition west to find the Colorado River, and they crossed the Little Colorado about twenty-five miles east of Holbrook and found a wonderland of colors they named "El Desierto Pintada" - The Painted Desert.

The Petrified Forest National Park is just east of this parcel and features some excellent hiking. There are numerous popular trails including the Blue Mesa Trail, Painted Desert Rim Trail, Devil’s Playground Loop, and many others. If you’d like to drive a little further, the Grand Canyon is only 3 hours to the northwest, the iconic Oljato-Monument Valley is about 3 hours north, and the Homolovi Ruins are just an hour west.
